Care & Maintenance
Cleaner and Sealers
Taking care of your Stone counter floors and Bathrooms is as simple as basic cleaning. Products that we use in the fabrication shop and installations are used by industry professionals. Now they are available to the general public. Snake River  Stone has consulted with leaders in the industry to find the best cleaning and sealing products that are safe, effective and easy to use.

Water Based Silica Polymer Stone Sealer
Comes in three concentrations: Regular Strength, Double Strength, and Super Strength. Once every year or two takes care of all of your stone sealing needs. Concentration depends upon porosity of the stone. These product are designed to retain the color of the stone once it has dried.

Everyday, PH neutral Stone soap
A simple product with no color or perfume added and it is environmentally safe. Comes in ready to use spray bottle or concentrate. Will not etch or stain your stone. Just spray, wipe, then rinse and buff.

Stone Oil
A clear natural sealer that has been used for centuries suitable for Soapstone, Limestone, and Slate counters. This product seals and protects as well as enhances the color of the stone. This is not a permanent sealer like the "water based silica polymer" and will need to be used every month. This product provides a matte finish result and should not be used on High gloss Stone such as Marble and Granite. Just spray on, spread around and remove excess and buff off with a hand towel.

Mild Acid Cleaner

A preventative cleaning product to protect your stone. This is a mild acid designed to be used weekly on Honed Travertine, honed Limestone, and Slate bathrooms. Do not use on Polished Calcareous Stones. It is designed to clean, kill germs and prevent mildew and hard water build up in your bathroom. If you already have mildew or hard water build up, you will need a stronger product.

NOTE: There are no products that will protect against all accidents. Spills left for extended periods of time will work through all sealers. Spills of acidic and oil based products such as Dairy, Acidic fruit (lemons, limes, grapefruits, Tomato based products) should be cleaned up promptly before they can stain or etch.
